AUTHOR GUIDELINES
If the author is interested inpublishingthe article in As-Shuffah Journal then the author has to follow these following steps:
First, prepare the manuscript with the following format criteria (see the template for the complete description of the format)
- The article can be written in Indonesian or in English.
- The article must be scientific, either based on the empirical research or conceptual ideas. The content of the article have not published yet in any journal, and should not be submitted simultaneously to another journal. Article should not be part of fully one chapter of the theses or dissertation.
- The article must be typed using word processors (Microsoft Word) software. The font used throughout the paper is Arial. The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297 mm), Lines are one spaced, justified. Page numbers should be included in the text located in footer section of each page.
- The Article must be in the range between 4000 – 10000 words, not including title, abstract, keywords, and references
- The Article of a research based paper consisting of the various parts: i.e. title, the author’s name(s) and affiliation(s), abstract (150-250 words), Keywords (maximum 5 words), introduction, research method, research findings, discussion, conclusion, and references.
- Title should not be more than 15 words. This is your opportunity to attract the reader’s attention. Remember that readers are the potential authors who will cite your article. Identify the main issue of the paper. Begin with the subject of the paper. The title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete. Do not contain infrequently-used abbreviations. The title of the paper should be typed in 14 pt bold Arial.
- Author names should be in 12 pt Arial bold. Author affiliations should be in 12 ptbold Arial.
- Author’s name(s) should be written in the full name without academic title (degree), and completed with institutional affiliation(s) as well as corresponding address (e-mail address).
- Abstract consists of the aims of the research; research method ; major research findings, brief discussion; and contribution to the discipline of areas study. Abstract must be written in English.
- Introduction consists of the literature review (would be better if the research findings from other research studies are not latest than five years), gaps between theories and the research which becomes the novelty of the article; scope and limitation of the problem discussed; and the main argumentation of the article.
- Research Method which consists of the descriptions of the research design, data collection techniques and data analysis techniques
- Research findings which consists of the results of data analysis for each research question
- Discussion consist of reasoning process of the article’s main argumentation based on research findings which is compared to other research findings and supporting theories.
- Conclusion consists of answering research problem, based on the main research findings. theoretical significance/conceptual construction
- References must be written properly. In writing the citation, it would be better and suggested to use software of citation manager, like Mendeley and Zotero, with following standard of APA Style 6th Edition
- Article must be free from plagiarism
- Article of conceptual based paper consisting of the various parts: i.e. title, the author’s name(s) and affiliation(s), abstract (200-250 words), Keywords (maximum 5 words), introduction,discussion, conclusion, and references.

- Abstract consists of the discourses of the discipline area; the aims of article; brief discussion of the concepts offered by the author; and contribution to the discipline of areas study. Abstract must be written in English.
- Introduction consists of the literature review (would be better if the concepts cited from other research studies or literatures are not latest than ten years), gaps between theories which becomes the novelty of the article; scope and limitation of the concept discussed; and the main argumentation of the article.
- Discussion or description and analysis consist of points of the concepts offered by the author of the article as the article’s main argumentation based on other research studies and supporting theories.
- Conclusion should be consisting of theoretical significance/conceptual construction
- References must be written properly by using the latest APA referencing style
Second, After preparing the manuscript follow the steps of the guideline for Online Submission
- If you want to publish your Manuscript in As-Suffah Journal, it must be submitted online through our website at http://jurnal.radenfatah.ac.id/index.php/As-Shuffah/login. All steps of publication will be done only through Online Journal System.
- Author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer by clicking on “Register” button to proceed the registration by filling the profile data (First name, middle name, last name, affiliation, and country), login data (email, username, password, repeat password and the willingness to become reviewer).
- After the registration process is completed, thenyou are brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. to go to step one of the five-step submission process”
The following are five steps in online submission process:
- Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Coneptual Articles, Review Article, or editorial. Then, author must check-mark on the submission checklists
- After that, the author must upload the article. To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button. Please make sure that the manuscript file has been uploaded.
- After uploading the article, the author must add the other files (author’s biodata and statement of originality) by uploading those files.
- After all files are uploaded completely, then the author must enter the Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be filled in the box by copying the text of the abstract and paste in the textbox including keywords.
- Finally, the author must confirm the submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to As-Shuffah journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
