Besides being produced for marketing and making money, waste can also be used as learning media. Learning media in the teaching and learning process has benefits, namely clarifying messages so that they are not too verbalized, overcoming space, time, energy and senses, and creating a passion for learning because there is a direct interaction between students and learning resources so that teaching and learning situations are more effective. This study aims to determine the types of learning media that can be made from waste or garbage and the feasibility of the resulting learning media. This research was conducted at FKIP, University of Tanjungpura from February to March 2022. This research is a descriptive quantitative with research stages include making learning media and validating the learning media that have been made. Validity was carried out using CVR and CVI calculations. The results showed that the seventh learning media each had a CVI value of 0,99. The CVI value shows the suitability of teaching aids with the material, the relationship between teaching aids and the level of learning needs, and teaching aids can explain material systematically and clearly. Functional learning media from used goods is valid and can be used in Biology learning activities in schools.</em></p> Eko Sri Wahyuni Titin Titin Mas Akbar Faturrahman ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-06-04 2023-06-04 8 2 67 77 10.19109/bioilmi.v8i2.13773 PENGEMBANGAN E-LKPD BERNUANSA ESQ (EMOTIONAL SPIRITUAL QUOTIENT) PADA MATERI PROTISTA KELAS X SMA <p><em>The use of instructional media at Adabiah 2 Padang High School is not maximized and the biology learning process is still focused on intellectual intelligence, even though there are other intelligences that must be possessed by students, namely spiritual and emotional intelligence. Material that is considered difficult by students in learning biology is protist material. This research is a development research using the 4-D Model (define, design, develop, disseminate) which is limited to the develop stage. This study aims to produce e-LKPD with ESQ nuances on protist material that is valid and practical. The research subjects were two biology lecturers at FMIPA UNP, one biology teacher at Adabiah 2 Padang High School, and 30 students in class X MIPA at Adabiah 2 Padang High School. The data collection instruments used were teacher interview questionnaires, student observation questionnaires, validity test questionnaires and practicality test questionnaires. Based on the results of the validity test, the percentage of e-LKPD with ESQ nuances was 86.4% with valid criteria while the average practicality test results by teachers and students were 85.8% with very practical criteria, so that the developed e-LKPD fulfilled criteria and can be used by students in learning biology.</em></p> Melandi Wimudi Sa’diatul Fuadiyah Zulyusri Zulyusri Helsa Rahmatika Azwir Azwir ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-06-04 2023-06-04 8 2 78 90 10.19109/bioilmi.v8i2.13938 PENYUSUNAN MEDIA POSTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI: MIKROORGANISME LOKAL (MOL) PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG SEBAGAI BIOAKTIVATOR PAKAN TERNAK <p><em>Posters are one of the media by presenting plots and pictures in explaining a material to make it easier for students to understand. The purpose of this study was to make a media poster based on research results by local microorganisms (MOL) in corn plant waste as animal feed bioactivators. This study used MOL from cattle rumen and molasses as a control and corn plant waste (leaves, stems and cobs) as a treatment. The method was experimentally by visually observing the morphological characteristics of the microbes, the gram staining of the microbes and the pH value of the MOL solution. The results of morphological observations found 12 types of bacterial isolates on NA media and there were nine isolates of gram-positive and three gram-negative bacteria. The most optimal pH value is at the 1% level with a value of 6.8. The addition of corn plant waste at 1% increases the type of bacteria and optimizes the pH value so that it has the potential to increase the quality of local microorganisms (MOL) for animal feed. However, based on the results of observations, the learning media used were not effective and were not able to accommodate students to be active in the learning process. Development of Electronic Student Worksheets (e-LKPD) with a scientific approach to coordination system material for class XI high school students is an attempt to overcome problems found in the learning process. As well as helping students better understand the learning material, especially the coordination system material, because it includes material that is considered difficult. The development of this e-LKPD uses three stages of the 4d model, namely define, design, and develop. The subjects of this study consisted of two biology lecturers at Padang State University, one biology teacher and 31 students in class XI Science at State High School 1 Sungai Aur. The data collection instruments used were teacher interview questionnaires, student observation questionnaires, validity questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. The results of e-</em><em>worksheets </em><em>validity test were 90.3% in the very valid category and the practicality test results were 91.4% in the very practical category. Good learning planning is the key to achieving the expected learning objectives. The purpose of this study to analyze the implementation of the evaluation of Biology learning in schools. This research method is a meta-analysis by examining data sources originating from national or international journals published in the last five years (2017-2021). This research begins with formulating the topics to be studied and then formulating the problems. The next stage collecting relevant articles to collect data. The data was obtained from searching online journals through Google Scholar. The topic used are "Analysis of the Implementation of the Evaluation and Improvement of the Quality of Learning Biology". From the search results there are 30 articles. Data were obtained and re-analyzed using quantitative methods. Based on the results of the analysis of the implementation of the evaluation of biology learning with the proven ability to improve the quality of Biology Learning in schools with significant results after being given treatment, namely 74.59% compared to the results before being given treatment, namely 63.95%, increasing by 10.63%. The form of integrating the STEM approach in learning can be done through learning resources such as LKPD. This study aims to analyze the application of the STEM approach to biology learning. This research method uses a descriptive research type and uses a 4-D model. Data collection was carried out by observing 30 students and interviewing 1 Biology teacher. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by interviewing, collecting data, analyzing and concluding. The results of this study indicate that students need worksheets with an attractive appearance, besides attracting students they also need worksheets that demand critical, creative, innovative and collaborative thinking skills with the aim of directing students to solve problems in a project assignment that is in the worksheets, and the results appropriate to meet the needs of students, namely by analyzing the application of the STEM approach to biology learning.</em></p> Getri Yulanda Yosi Laila Rahmi ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-06-04 2023-06-04 8 2 128 136 10.19109/bioilmi.v8i2.13586 VALIDITAS MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN POWERPOINT INTERAKTIF DILENGKAPI CROSSWORD PUZZLE TENTANG MATERI JARINGAN TUMBUHAN UNTUK PESERTA DIDIK SMA <p><em>Innovation in PowerPoint media determines students' interest and motivation in learning. The lack of use of game elements makes students bored. To support interactive learning, games such as crossword puzzles are needed as evaluations in the media. This study is purpose to produce interactive PowerPoint learning equipped with a crossword puzzle about plant tissue material for high school students. The research subjects </em><em>is an expert validator consisting of two Biology lecturers at UNP and one Biology teacher at Payakumbuh Senior High School 3. The research used is ADDIE development research. The research was conducted up to the development stage. The analysis phase uses instruments in the form of observation sheets and interviews for teachers and students. The design stage is the design of interactive powerpoint learning media. At the development stage, using an instrument in the form of a validation sheet addressed to expert validators and analyzed. The percentage results of the three expert validations show that interactive powerpoint media is 91.90% with a very valid category. so that interactive powerpoint learning media equipped with crossword puzzles that have been developed meet the criteria and can be used by students in learning biology.</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Dhea Azizah Relsas Yogica Ganda Hijrah Selaras Sa’diatul Fuadiyah ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-06-04 2023-06-04 8 2 137 146 10.19109/bioilmi.v8i2.13942 KELAYAKAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF BERBASIS ANDROID PADA MATERI FUNGI KELAS X SMA <p><em>The analysis results of the needs teachers and students at Pontianak Mujahidin High School, the results obtained were that the fungi is the material with lowest average compare to other materials, students prefer learning media that combines text, images and video as well as students use android smartphones so it is necessary to do research on the feasibility of android-based interactive multimedia on fungi material. This study aims to produce android-based interactive multimedia, test the feasibility of interactive multimedia and see student responses to android-based interactive multimedia on functions material. The research method used is R&amp;D (Research &amp; Development) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Response trials were carried out on 12 students of Pontianak Mujahidin High School. The validation calculation in this study uses the Aiken V formula with 6 validators and 4 rating ratings. The results of the assessment of media and material experts obtained a value of V<sub>count</sub>&gt;V<sub>table</sub> (0.87&gt;0.78) so that learning media can be said to be valid and feasible to use.
