Abstract

This paper explores the legacy of Fathima Al-Fihri, the founder of Al-Qarawiyyin University, and its influence on the tradition of science in the context of Islamic education. Fathima is not only a symbol of women's empowerment, but also a pioneer of inclusive access to education. This study aims to connect the educational heritage built by Fathima with the challenges faced by modern education. Through a qualitative approach, data are obtained from relevant historical sources and contemporary analysis. The results show that Fathima Al-Fihri's educational values remain relevant and important in fighting for accessibility and empowerment of women in education today. This discussion is expected to provide insight into the importance of preserving and applying the tradition of science in a modern context.
