NURANI: Jurnal Kajian Syariah dan Masyarakat  is an accredited journal in the Sinta. NURANI: Jurnal Kajian Syariah dan Masyarakat  began from the establishment of the Publishing Bureau of Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang based on the Decree of Rector of UIN Raden Fatah Number 078/2001 dated June 1, 2001. NURANI: Jurnal Kajian Syariah dan Masyarakat is an academic journal published every six months by the Faculty of Shari’ah, UIN Raden Fatah, Indonesia. The Journal is intended to present original researches and works on current issues of shari’ah and society studies. NURANI: Jurnal Kajian Syariah dan Masyarakat warmly invites scholars, academic staffs, and researchers to published articles. The journal firstly published in printed edition until Vol. 13 June 2017 it has migrated to an electronic journal system (open access).

The activities of the Publishing Bureau of Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah include:

• To organize all publications and printing for the interest of Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah;
• To publish articles, especially Islamic Law, Law and Society studies, by way of publishing scientific works of lecturers / assistants / alumni / researchers of Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah, research report, dissertation, and so forth;
• Publication of legal magazine as a place to give scientific opinion or views and also a communication tool between Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah and its alumni;
• General services in the field of publishing and printing.

Then based on the decision of the meeting of the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah on December 25, 2001, the activities of the Publishing Bureau of the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, UIN Raden Fatah, are centered on the publication of a scientific journal in the field of Islamic law, Law and Society Studies named "NURANI: Jurnal Kajian Syariah dan Masyarakat" its means holy soul as the purpose of law enforcement.
