Implementation of Islamic Learning Management in Strengthening Religious Literacy and Spiritual Well-Being Among the Elderly

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic learning management in an effort to strengthen religious literacy and improve the spiritual well-being of the elderly at the Harapan Kita Palembang Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD). The elderly, as a vulnerable group, have high spiritual needs, especially in facing physical, psychological, and social changes in the final phase of life. Therefore, structured learning management is needed so that religious guidance is not merely ceremonial, but can have a real impact on the quality of life of the elderly. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, documentation, and direct participation techniques during the implementation of the Community Service Program (KKN). The implementation of learning management is carried out through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating religious activities. The programs implemented include dhikr assemblies, Al-Qur'an recitation, daily prayer learning, Islamic educational games, relaxation therapy, light exercise, and education on healthy lifestyles through the preparation of healthy snacks for the elderly. The results of the study indicate that the systematic implementation of Islamic learning management can increase the participation of the elderly in worship activities, strengthen basic religious understanding, and create inner peace and a more harmonious social atmosphere in the nursing home environment. Thus, Islamic learning management contributes significantly to improving religious literacy and the spiritual well-being of the elderly holistically.
