Abstract

Type of urban green open space is a city park. The existence of a city park in an urban environment is very important to protect the environmental ecosystem and function as a public open space. The park is a place for people to play, sport, social interaction and more. Muara Enim residents have several parks that are favorite places to visit, such as : Adipura Park and Retention Pond, PKK Park, Ribang Gale Park and Baca Park. Baca Park, which is located in Muara Enim Village, is located near residential areas so that this park becomes a playground for children and residents. The condition of the park is not well maintained, many playground facilities have been damaged. Cows and goats entered the garden area because the fence was broken, there are no garden lights. In the garden area, there are Reading House facilities, but activities are still indoor. Through this activity, it is hoped that a representative and aesthetic concept of Baca Park arrangement can be obtained. The implementation of activities involves the local community and youth organizations in the form of discussions and questionnaires and the input obtained will be implemented into the concept of a reading garden arrangement design. The concept applied to the reading garden is to optimize the function of the existing Reading House, where park visitors can play while learning. Supported by a shady garden with shady trees, as well as gazebo and pergola facilities for shade. Provides playground facilities for children's games, garden lights for night activities. The concept image of the reading garden that has been prepared can be used as material for the government for environmental planning activities.
