Abstract

This study aims to explore how the implementation of religious values can strengthen the Islamic work ethic among employees of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Bengkulu Adam Malik Branch Office. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Ten employees were selected purposively as the main informants for this research. Data were collected through interviews and observations, while data analysis followed the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the embodiment of religiosity is reflected in daily religious practices such as collective prayers before starting work, performing prayers on time, and mutual support among staff in a familial atmosphere. The Islamic work ethic is manifested through professional conduct, honesty, responsibility, and a strong work spirit viewed as a form of devotion and trust. Overall, the results indicate that religiosity plays a significant role in shaping the Islamic work ethic, positively impacting employee performance and productivity. In conclusion, religious values have been well-integrated into the work culture at BSI KC Bengkulu Adam Malik, as evidenced by the active religious activities, availability of prayer facilities, and employees’ perception of work as both a blessing and a trust in Islam
