Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy, the use of financial technology, social influence, and Islamic branding on Islamic financial inclusion among the Muslim community in Surabaya. The population in this study was the Muslim community in Surabaya, and the sample consisted of 223 respondents selected using purposive sampling. To analyze the data, the researcher used the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS 4.0. The findings of this study indicate that there is an influence of the variables of Islamic financial literacy, social influence, and Islamic branding on Islamic financial inclusion. Conversely, the variable of financial technology usage has no influence on Islamic financial inclusion. The conclusion of this study is that Islamic financial inclusion is influenced by certain factors that are more dominant, while other factors are not yet major determinants in the context of the Muslim community in Surabaya. For regulators such as the Financial Services Authority, it is hoped that they will continue to improve broader and more structured Islamic financial literacy programs in order to strengthen Islamic financial inclusion programs. Meanwhile, Islamic financial institutions must maintain consistency between their branding and the reality of the services they provide.
