Abstract

This study analyzes how Indonesian Muslim Generation Z constructs digital peace discourse on Instagram and TikTok. The research focuses on discursive strategies, religious identity negotiation, and mechanisms of peace narrative dissemination in algorithmic social media spaces. This study applies a qualitative approach with digital Critical Discourse Analysis by adapting Fairclough’s three-dimensional model and Social Media Critical Discourse Studies. The corpus consists of 36 public posts from six Muslim Gen Z creator accounts, including 18 TikTok videos, 12 Instagram Reels, and six Instagram carousel posts uploaded from January to March 2026. Data were selected purposively based on explicit peace, moderation, tolerance, or interfaith coexistence themes. The findings show that Muslim Gen Z constructs peace discourse through short videos, religious humor, inclusive hashtags, visual aesthetics, and dialogic comment interaction. They negotiate Islamic identity through Contextual Islamic Framing and use Algorithmic Resilience strategies such as cross-posting, collaboration, trend adaptation, and comment moderation. The study contributes to Islamic communication and public relations by proposing an integrative framework of Peace-Tech Literacy, Contextual Islamic Framing, and Algorithmic Resilience
