Abstract
Character formation, discipline, and mental health are important aspects of children's development, particularly for children from socially and economically vulnerable backgrounds. This community service activity aimed to strengthen children's character, discipline, and mental health through an Islamic educational program at Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi 31 Palembang. The program was implemented for 18 days from January 19 to February 9, 2026, involving elementary and senior high school students who participated in the school activities. The activities included positive habit formation, Islamic storytelling, educational games, emotional recognition, psychological assistance, self-reflection, and character education. Data were collected through direct observation, daily reflection notes, activity documentation, and discussions with teachers. The data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation across observation, reflection, documentation, and teacher discussion. The results showed observable positive changes in students' behavior, including greater discipline, politeness, self-confidence, emotional expression, learning participation, and social interaction. Students became more accustomed to praying before learning activities, respecting school rules, communicating politely, and expressing their feelings more openly. The findings indicate that Islamic value-based educational programs integrated with character education and mental health support can contribute to children's personal development in socially disadvantaged educational settings
