Abstract

This article aims to describe how the management of supervision and evaluation of the Takallam Billughatil 'Arabiyah Arabic program at the QITA (Qur'ani, Science, Technology, Akhlakul karimah) School Malang. This program is one of the flagship school programs which is carried out outside of study hours and serves as a means of improving students' Arabic speaking skills. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection through interview and observation techniques.  Research data sources are the director of the foundation and the implementing teacher who uses Miles and Huberman analysis techniques. The results indicate that the Arabic language program at the madrasah has the potential to improve students' speaking skills, in terms of the material being studied being different from what is taught outside the program. Program supervision is a type of internal supervision carried out by the foundation director, also includes active supervision by direct observation of the program, also includes passive supervision by viewing program documents, as well as preventive and repressive supervision carried out before and after program activities. Meanwhile, the evaluation of the program uses a formative evaluation model, which is carried out when the program is in progress, and a summative evaluation model which is carried out when the program has ended. Hopefully, this research can contribute to the scope of Arabic language program management, especially in the scope of supervision and evaluation of state madrasah institutions.
