Hydrologic Cycle in Scientific Interpretation: Study of QS. An-Nur (24): 43 and QS. Ar-Rum (30): 48 in the Scientific Interpretation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion-LIPI
Main Article Content
Abstract
The development of science and knowledge in the modern-contemporary era has opened up new space in interpreting the kauniyah verses in the Qur'an with scientific discoveries, which are marked by the emergence of the scientific interpretation. The scientific interpretation developed in Indonesia presents the Scientific Interpretation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion-LIPI which interprets the kauniyah verses in a thematic-scientific manner. Among them, studying the theory of the hydrological cycle, which has been explained by Allah in the Qur'an long before the theory emerged. The results of this study indicate a correlation between QS. An-Nur (24): 43 and QS. Ar-Rum (30): 48 with the theory of the hydrological cycle, as well as its relevance to the challenges of hydrology today. This study uses a descriptive analytical method based on library research. Primary sources were obtained from the Scientific Interpretation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion-LIPI, and the book Hydrology by Indarto, as well as secondary data sources from journal articles related to this study.
