The concept of truth from the perspective of ulul albab: QS. Ar-ra'd verse 19

Abstract
The concept of truth in the perspective of Ulul Albab is essential to explore amid the globalization of information, which often creates confusion between truth and falsehood. In the Qur’an, Ulul Albab is portrayed as individuals of deep understanding who are able to combine rational thinking with spiritual sensitivity in recognizing signs of truth. This study aims to examine the meaning of truth in Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 19 using a historical approach and the tafsir tahlili method. The discussion begins by analyzing the asbabun nuzul (context of revelation), followed by interpretations from classical and contemporary scholars, and concludes with an analysis of its relevance in modern life. The findings reveal that truth should not only be understood textually but also grasped through intellectual and spiritual awareness. Ulul Albab represents the ideal human being who integrates reason and revelation to attain ultimate truth. In the contemporary context, the values embodied by Ulul Albab are highly relevant for developing critical thinking, justice, and a focus on transcendental values. This research emphasizes that true truth can only be attained through a balanced approach that combines knowledge, faith, and reflective life experience
