Abstract

This paper discusses the religious moderation movement carried out by the government through the Ministry of Religious Affairs through writing. The media carried out by the Ministry of Religion can be seen from the oral side and also writing. The using of media is through the approach of translating the Qur'an which is indeed translated by the Ministry of Religion itself. The dissemination of the Qur'an translation is not only through the mushaf, but also through the Ministry of Religion's Qur'an application that they made. Therefore, the purpose of this paper seeks to show how the meaning of the word awliyā ' in surah an-Nisā' in seeking moderation in the Qur'an, because seen from several translations of the Qur'an version of the mushaf experiencing different meanings in each edition published by the Ministry of Religion. This paper uses the library research method with the primary source of the Ministry of Religion's Qur'an application and surah al-Nisā'. While the technical data analysis uses descriptive-deductive. The results of the study state that the moderation movement carried out by the Ministry of Religion in the Ministry's Qur'an application shows an attitude of moderation that tries not to be extreme with the translation of loyal friends and protectors. Socially, the translation is because it promotes harmonization in a multicultural society and in the tradition of interpretation, because the word awliyā' has different meanings. The implications of the results of this paper can be used as a reference to continue to foster an attitude of religious moderation, because the Holy Book of Islamic guidance actually upholds religious moderation in it.
