Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Emosional dan Kesejahteraan Psikologis Praktik Spiritualitas Islam dan Kearifan Lokal Penderitaan Disleksia

Abstract
Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder that not only affects academic ability, but also affects the mental health and psychological well-being of sufferers. Many individuals with dyslexia experience emotional distress, low self-esteem, and social isolation due to lack of understanding and support from their surroundings. This study aims to explore how Islamic spiritual practices and local wisdom can contribute to improving emotional intelligence and psychological well-being of dyslexic sufferers. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study involved one adolescent subject with dyslexia and several supporting informants from the family environment. The results showed that spiritual practices such as prayer, dhikr, self-reflection, and local cultural support that emphasizes the values of togetherness, acceptance, and resilience, can strengthen emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and increase the meaning of life and self-confidence in sufferers. The integration of spirituality and local culture has proven to be an effective psychological resource in helping the adaptation process and emotional recovery of dyslexic sufferers. These findings open up opportunities for the development of cultural and religious-based intervention approaches in the fields of educational and clinical psychology
