Abstract

The education system as a whole has a significant impact on the development of students' character. Character education is essential to ensure that students have a positive experience. The Qur'an is an obligation for every devout Muslim, many out there, in the modern era and ever-evolving technology, gaget is an option to dedicate hours rather than spending a few minutes reading the Qur'an. The purpose of this study is to describe the character education carried out by teachers through the modification of students' reading habits at SMPIT Insan Cendekia. The technique used for the study uses qualitative analysis. When a teacher exemplifies good teaching habits, students will be enthusiastic about participating in every school activity offered. Among those involved in character development through the habituation of the Qur'an at SMPIT Insan Cendekia are Teachers emphasize the importance of character education by assigning assignments. Teachers inculcate religious values, namely teachers and students together carry out Dhuha Prayers and recite in the mosque or in their respective classes, Teachers instill Discipline values, namely the activity of reading the Quran every day in their respective classrooms. Teachers create an atmosphere of learning interaction that is built on the basis of love.
