Abstract

Imam Al-Ghazali's opinion on the philosophy of Islamic education and its function in developing Islamic personality is included in this study. Al-Ghazali emphasized that education is a process of purifying the soul and developing character based on Islamic ethics and principles, in addition to being a tool for conveying knowledge. Building a balanced personality is considered in Islamic education as requiring respect for teachers and knowledge. Al-Ghazali's ideas still have value today in shaping a generation that can adapt to global shifts without sacrificing one's spiritual and moral identity. All things considered, Al-Ghazali's educational theory can be used as a model for creating a comprehensive and sustainable curriculum that aims to develop people with Islamic personalities and a healthy blend of spiritual and intellectual intelligence.
