Integrasi Akidah dan Akhlak: Studi Pemikiran Imam Al-Ghazali

Abstract

The integration of creed (faith) and ethical principles in the intellectual framework of Imam Al-Ghazali is a comprehensive examination of the ethical aspects, justice, and educational paradigms inherent in Islamic doctrine. This study aims to explore the contribution of Imam Al-Ghazali's thoughts in integrating creed and morals into the fields of leadership and education. The research method used in this study is a library study. The data sources in this study are the original works of Imam Al-Ghazali, such as Ihya Ulum al-Din and other texts related to his thoughts on creed and morals, books, articles, and scientific journals that discuss Al-Ghazali's thoughts as well as analysis from various other researchers regarding the integration of creed and morals. The data collection process in the library study includes several steps, namely: Literature Search, Reading and Understanding, Data Recording, Data Analysis. Drawing Conclusions. The results of this study indicate that all moral actions are based on principles, especially the concept of monotheism. If a person has a deep understanding of the oneness of God, they will be motivated to act in a way that is in accordance with Islamic values. Morals are a reflection of one's beliefs as well as social standards. The relationship between self, social, and metaphysical morals shows how important the relationship with God and fellow human beings is. Al-Ghazali's thoughts are very relevant for character education in the contemporary era which is full of moral challenges. Educational methods that include faith and morals as a whole can help shape a young generation that is not only cognitively intelligent but also has high morals. Effective education, such as interactive discussions and the use of learning media, can help students internalize moral principles in everyday life.
