Fenomena Perempuan Pekerja Migran Indonesia Untuk Kesejahteraan Keluarga

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran perempuan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) asal Kabupaten Ponorogo dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa remitansi dari perempuan PMI menjadi sumber pendapatan utama keluarga, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan sosial dan emosional seperti beban ganda, stigma sosial, dan pemisahan keluarga. Hasil penelitian ini mengisi kekosongan dalam literatur mengenai pengalaman perempuan PMI di tingkat lokal. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya kebijakan yang lebih komprehensif untuk mendukung perempuan PMI, termasuk program pelatihan keterampilan, akses terhadap layanan keuangan, dan perlindungan sosial.
