Spiritual Healing: Jurnal Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi is an academic journal published by the Department of Tasawuf and Psychotherapy, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, Raden Fatah State Islamic University of Palembang.

The journal was first published on December 16, 2020, under the leadership of Umi Nur Kholifah, M.Psi., Psychologist, as the Editor in Chief. Articles published in the journal include empirical research (quantitative or qualitative), literature studies, and theoretical reviews that contribute to the development of general psychology, psychotherapy, and Islamic psychology, particularly in integrating psychology, psychotherapy, and tasawuf (Islamic mysticism). Both individual and collaborative research works are welcomed.

Since Volume 1, Number 1 in 2020, the journal consistently published six (6) articles per issue, a pattern that continued in Volume 1, Number 2 in 2021.

In February 2021, Spiritual Healing was officially registered as both an online and print journal with the Center for Scientific Data and Documentation (LIPI), now known as BRIN. The journal holds print ISSN 2829-3797 and electronic ISSN 2775-4707. From its first issue, the journal has been published online using the Open Journal System (OJS), a journal management and publishing platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to improve access to academic research.

After two years of steady progress, in December 2022, the journal began preparing to apply for SINTA Accreditation. According to the Ristekdikti website, SINTA (Science and Technology Index) measures the performance of researchers, authors, journals, and scientific institutions in Indonesia.

The Spiritual Healing editorial team has demonstrated consistent dedication in maintaining the journal’s quality. The team includes:

  • Umi Nur Kholifah → Editor in Chief
  • Konto Iskandar Dinata → Section Editor
  • Seraga Santri → Journal IT / OJS Editor
  • Salsa May Sari → Layout and Formatting
  • Supported by a network of reviewers and other editors who maintain scholarly integrity and publication standards.

Due to increasing submissions and interest from authors, the editorial team decided to increase the number of published articles per issue from six (6) to nine (9). This ensures better accommodation of submissions while maintaining rigorous quality control. The team remains committed to high-quality publications, prioritizing quality over quantity and providing reliable reference materials for researchers and practitioners.

For the upcoming Volume 6, Number 2 (December 2025) edition, the journal will continue publishing nine (9) peer-reviewed articles and plans to submit for reaccreditation, ensuring a well-managed and high-quality publication process.

Alhamdulillah, Spiritual Healing: Jurnal Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi has been indexed in several national and international databases, including DOAJ, Google Scholar, Moraref, GARUDA, Dimensions, Crossref, OneSearch, BASE, and WorldCat, among others (as listed on the Indexing page). These achievements reflect the dedication of the editorial team, researchers, and authors in advancing the integration of Islamic spirituality and psychotherapy within the academic sphere.
