AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Guidelines for writing articles in ELQONUN: Journal of Constitutional Law are as follows:

Articles must be original scholarly works by the author and have not been previously published or are in the process of being published elsewhere;

Articles must emphasize the study of constitutional law and Islamic constitutional law, human rights law, the development of Islamic law, international law, humanitarian law, and other fields related to contemporary legal issues and topics in constitutional law and Islamic constitutional law, emphasizing theories of constitutional law and Islamic constitutional law and their practice in the Islamic world (See Focus and Scope);

Articles must conform to the journal's writing style and template;

Authors must submit articles that examine current themes within the scope of constitutional law and Islamic constitutional law, demonstrate analytical rigor, up-to-date references, and be plagiarism-free. Authors must complete a form to ensure the article's originality;

The article's systematics are:

  • Title;
  • Author's name (without academic degree), affiliation, and e-mail;
  • Abstracts are written in two languages, Indonesian and English. The abstract contains a maximum of 300 words;
  • Keywords, between 3-5 words;
  • Introduction;
  • Subtitles (according to the needs of the analysis and discussion);
  • Conclusions;
  • Bibliography.

Articles can be written in Indonesian, English, and Arabic.

Articles submitted to Elqonun must be written on B5-sized paper (Width: 18, Height: 25), with margins (Top: 2.5 cm, Left: 2.5 cm, Bottom: 2 cm, Right: 2 cm), Times New Roman 12 pt, single-spaced, and 15-25 pages long.

Articles submitted to Elqonun must be written using the Mendeley reference management application using the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition format (full notes).

Articles submitted online must include the article file and academic biographical data.

Articles must be submitted using Arabic-Indonesian transliteration in accordance with the Joint Ministerial Decree No. 3.

Ensure your article is prepared using the article template.

Submission Praparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is Microsoft Word Office.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
