Publication Ethics

 

Ta’dib is a kind of peer review journal that's distributed electronically and in printed version. Typically, it is published twice a year (in June and December) by Tarbiyah and Teaching Science Faculty of UIN Raden Fatah, Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The manuscript publication at Ta’dib is a kind of collaboration between the author and the journal. The author's manuscript distributed in Ta’dib is the realization of the author's information as an agent of his institution upheld by a peer review and editing process orchestrated by Tadib to guarantee the standard of publication carried out by the journal. Subsequently, it is essential to have a kind of understanding on guidelines for all individuals included within the process of publication: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, and publishers.

Author's Responsibilities
Articles sent in Ta’dib must be unique manuscripts composed by the author. The manuscripts that have never been published in other Journals or are within the handle of being checked on in other journals. manuscript substance must be accurate. The information displayed within the manuscript must be based on real inquire about information. The concepts advertised within the manuscript must be based on trustworthy journals. The author must quote the source accurately based on the sources he/she cited, both within the shape of composed distributions and personal interviews. The author must be willing to supply crude information to the editor on the off chance that required within the peer review prepare or indeed after publication. The author must notify the editor in case there's a struggle of intrigued and must inform the editor on the off chance that there are a few wrong blunders / information within the manuscript to the editor immediately.

Editor's Responsibilities
The editor must neutral in selecting and screening manuscript. The editor must be objective and fair to all writers who submitted their written works. The editor is forbidden to be discriminative to the authors in terms of gender, ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup, or nationality. Then, the editor reports the selection and reviews scripts clearly and accurately to the author based on accuracy, completeness, and clarity of reporting of result research and its development, including editing techniques and the use of guidelines for publication and screenwriting. Next, the editor  communicates effectively and efficiently in the process of publishing the journal. Every suggestion and criticism from authors, reviewers, and journal managers should be addressed clearly, fairly and transparently. Further, the editor distributes scripts to editor team members and reviewers fairly based on their respective competence. Next, editor works professionally based on his duties and responsibilities. The editor should understand any policy related to journal publication. Editor ensures that every script has undergone the editorial process and review correctly, fairly, and objectively. Besides, editor takes full responsibility for the success of journal publication. Editor guarantees that every journal article published is a new paper and not a copy, and gives benefits to those reading and accessing the journals and finally editor upholds copyright and privacy of each other to avoid conflict of interest. Should a conflict of interest arise with other parties, an editor must solve it justly and wisely.

Reviewer's Responsibilities
Review process employs a double blind review, which means that both reviewer(s) and/ or author (s) identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Review reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:

  • Is original by stating the objectives and gap clearly
  • Is methodologically sound
  • Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
  • Has results/findings which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
  • Correctly references previous relevant work

Decision
Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process. Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The Editors will reach a decision based on these reports and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. Editor’s decision is final.
