Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of curriculum anatomy at MAN Kota Batu, which includes the formulation of objectives, organization of content, learning strategies, and the evaluation system used; to describe the curriculum design applied to support a learning process based on Islamic values; and to examine the implementation and evaluation of the curriculum as efforts to maintain the relevance, consistency, and quality of education according to the demands of Islamic education in the modern era. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach conducted during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year at MAN Kota Batu, East Java. The research subjects consisted of the Vice Principal for Curriculum, subject teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling, while data were collected through semi-structured interviews, document studies, and field notes. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, and data analysis was carried out cyclically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the curriculum anatomy at MAN Kota Batu is implemented in an integrated and holistic manner, integrating both academic and character aspects; the curriculum design based on Islamic values (Curriculum Based on Love) enables contextual and humanistic learning; and the adaptive implementation and evaluation of the curriculum are conducted through the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). The findings also identify supporting factors such as collaboration among stakeholders and the availability of facilities, as well as challenges in the form of policy changes and the diversity of student abilities. This study recommends enhancing curriculum innovation and teacher capacity to ensure the sustainability and relevance of the curriculum.
