Abstract

This study analyzes persuasive communication strategies used in managing internal communication within UKMK IMBI UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research applied a descriptive qualitative case study design. Data were collected from April 8 to April 12, 2026, through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Six informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of board members and active members who understood internal communication practices in the organization. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that persuasive communication is practiced through emotional, rational, and exemplary approaches. The emotional approach appears in personal attention, empathy, and motivational messages. The rational approach appears in clear explanations of activity goals, task division, and schedule coordination. The exemplary approach appears in the discipline and responsibility shown by board members. WhatsApp Group supports rapid coordination, but delayed responses and unclear messages still create communication barriers. The study concludes that persuasive communication supports internal communication effectiveness when messages are clear, dialogic, empathetic, and followed by concrete examples from the board
