Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types and causes of translation errors in the Al-Rashida reading textbook among students at Dar Al-Lugha Wal-Karamah Institute 2. Translation errors often arise from a weak grasp of Arabic grammar and vocabulary, and the dominance of literal translation techniques without regard for context. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was then analyzed by classifying errors into lexical, grammatical, and semantic categories, while also identifying the factors contributing to them. The study's findings are expected to reveal patterns of translation errors among students and the factors influencing them. Furthermore, this study contributes to the development of Arabic translation teaching strategies, particularly for understanding classical Islamic texts within the institute setting.
