Focus and Scope

Jurnal Studi Agama promotes interdisciplinary approaches to any of the world's religious and spiritual traditions, and invites contributions from scholars in various fields, notably:

  • theology
  • mysticism of religion 
  • philosophy of religion
  • history of religions
  • sociology of religion
  • role of religion in culture and society
  • religion and literature
  • religion and media
  • religion and linguistics
  • religion and politics

 

Peer Review Process

Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by the Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by the Double Blind Preview Process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors for revision. These processes take a month for maximum time. For each manuscript, Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer collaborates with Jurnal Studi Agama Journal.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Studi Agama is published twice a year; in June and December with five articles for each edition. It is also published in two versions; print out and electronic.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
