About the Journal

Tabayyun: Journal of Journalism (TJoJ) with ISSN: 2987-078X (online) is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and academic discourse in journalism, media, and communication studies. Published biannually in April and October by Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang, Indonesia, the journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, students, media professionals, and policymakers to disseminate original and high-quality scholarly works.
The journal aims to promote critical understanding of contemporary journalism and media practices in the context of rapid social, cultural, political, economic, and technological transformations. TJoJ encourages the development of theoretical, methodological, and empirical perspectives that contribute to the advancement of journalism and communication scholarship at local, national, regional, and global levels. The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and innovative approaches to understanding media ecosystems and communication processes in contemporary society.
The scope of TJoJ encompasses a broad range of topics related to journalism, media, and communication studies, including journalism and media content analysis, digital journalism, data journalism, media management, audience studies, media and society, political communication, organizational communication, public relations, intercultural communication, strategic communication, new media, social network analysis, and communication technologies. The journal also welcomes studies on religious communication, Islamic communication, and media representations of religion, provided they contribute to broader discussions within journalism and communication scholarship.
TJoJ publishes original research articles, literature-based studies, conceptual papers, and critical reviews that demonstrate academic rigor and contribute to the development of knowledge in journalism and communication studies.
