DETERMINANTS OF DECISION FACTORS TO BECOME ISLAMIC BANK CUSTOMERS

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of motivation to avoid usury and Islamic financial literacy on the decision to become a customer of Islamic banks. The population in this study were all customers of Bank Sumsel Babel Lubuk Linggau Branch Office, where the sample was taken based on Hair's formula so that a sample of 12 x 5 = 60 was obtained. The analysis technique used SEM PLS through testing the outer model and inner model and hypothesis testing with the provisions of T statistics> 1.96 and P value <0.05 declared influential. The results showed that the motivation to avoid usury affects the decision to become an Islamic bank customer and Islamic financial literacy affects the decision to become an Islamic bank customer. So it can be concluded that the motivation to avoid usury and Islamic financial literacy affect the decision to become a customer of Sumsel Babel Islamic Bank Lubuk Linggau Branch Office.
