AWARENESS OF PAYING ZAKAT IN TERMS OF RELIGIOSITY AND UNDERSTANDING OF ZAKAT

Abstract

This research was conducted to achieve the purpose of analyzing the influence of religiosity and understanding of zakat on awareness of paying zakat. This research was conducted in Lubuk Linggau Utara II Subdistrict where the population was 43,160 people. Based on the population, the sample was taken using the Slovin formula so that a sample of 100 people was obtained which was distributed to each sub-district. The analysis technique is processed using SEM PLS, the hypothesis is accepted if the statistical T value> 1.96 or P value <0.05. The results showed that religiosity affects the awareness of paying zakat and understanding of zakat affects the awareness of paying zakat. Based on this, it can be concluded that religiosity and understanding of zakat affect the awareness of paying zakat.
