Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dialectics of aesthetics and ideology in the reception of Quranic stylistic features in classical Arabic literature using the "Three-Layered Interconnection" model (Quranic Influence → [Ideological Mediation] ← Local Tradition). Employing a qualitative-interpretative approach and multiple case studies, the research combines philological manuscript analysis (MS A17 Al-Qarawiyyin, Diwan Al-Himyari), material examination (Sufi gold-ink sacralization vs. Mu'tazilite desacralization), and quantitative comparison of Quranic adaptations (Al-Aghani: 124 references vs. Diwan Ibn al-Rumi: 17 references). The analysis integrates dialectical hermeneutics (Abu Zayd), cultural field theory (Bourdieu), and stylistic reception (Al-Jurjani) to reveal: (1) Abbasid canonization politics through Quranic aesthetic appropriation, (2) ideological polarization between Sufis (transcendent tashbih) and Mu'tazilites (rhetorical reduction), and (3) meta-morphosis strategies (Al-Ma’arri’s lafẓ-ma‘nā separation) and marginal literary counter-appropriation. Key findings demonstrate state hegemony in distorting literary canons, adaptation-resistance dialectics toward Quranic linguistic authority, and the model’s validity in explaining aesthetic hybridization in Maqamat Al-Hariri and underground Shiite poetic traditions.
