The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly works that explore the interplay between Islamic education, pedagogical innovations, and contextual dynamics informed by local wisdom.

Scope

Tadrib: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam focuses on publishing scholarly articles that examine the interconnection between Islamic education, pedagogical innovation, and contextual dynamics rooted in local wisdom. The journal emphasizes contributions that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promote inclusivity, and foster innovation, with its scope covering, but not limited to, the following areas: 

  1. Islamic Education and Pedagogy (This area covers learning, learning outcomes, and concepts in Islamic education, with a focus on Islamic education materials (the Qur'an, hadith, aqidah, akhlak, fiqh, history of the Prophet), educators and students (their competencies, roles, and relationships), as well as learning methods (lectures, question and answer sessions, discussions, halaqah, and other active methods), including the design and renewal of Islamic education curricula rooted in local wisdom, learning models in Islamic schools and Islamic boarding schools, learning innovations and technology integration, digital and hybrid pedagogy for Islamic learning, and strategies for teaching the Qur'an, hadith, and Islamic values in contemporary classrooms).
  2. Islamic Education and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (This section highlights the contribution of Islamic education to SDG 4: quality education for all; gender equality and inclusive Islamic education in line with SDG 5; reducing educational disparities and fostering social inclusion under SDG 10; peace education and global citizenship within Islamic contexts in relation to SDG 16; environmental education grounded in Islamic values addressing SDG 13; as well as discourses on human rights and ethics in Islamic education).
  3. Policy, Leadership, and Management (This scope  includes governance and Policy in Islamic Educational Institutions, Educational Leadership and School as well as Islamic Higher Education Management, Quality Management of Islamic Education, Funding and Sustainability of Islamic Educational Institutions, and Public–Private Partnerships in the Development of Islamic Education).
  4. Islamic Education in Global and Multicultural Contexts (This area encompasses comparative studies of Islamic education systems in Southeast Asia and beyond; Islamic education in multicultural and diaspora communities; intercultural and interfaith dialogue through Islamic education; the integration of local wisdom into contemporary educational practices; and the inclusion of minority and marginalized groups within Islamic schooling).
  5. Assessment, Innovation, and Research in Islamic Education (This section covers the development of assessment instruments in Islamic education; action research and professional development of Islamic education teachers; the use of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and digital technologies in Islamic education; and evaluation of programs and policies in Islamic education). 

Tadrib: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam encourages the submission of interdisciplinary manuscripts that critically engage with Islamic scholarly traditions while integrating contemporary educational approaches. The journal particularly highlights contributions that explore the nexus of Islamic education, pedagogical innovation, and contextual dynamics rooted in local wisdom, aligned with principles of inclusivity, sustainability (SDGs), and global relevance, thereby offering meaningful contributions to academic communities at local, regional, and international levels.
