The Managerial Problems in Realizing Educational Innovation in the Digital Era in Indonesia

Abstract
This study aims to analyze managerial challenges and formulate effective solutions and strategies for realizing educational innovation in the digital era. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through library research, this study explores various relevant academic literatures to understand the dynamics of educational management in the context of digital transformation. The findings indicate that the implementation of educational innovation in Indonesia still faces numerous obstacles, such as limited human resource competencies, disparities in digital infrastructure, organizational cultures resistant to change, and gaps between national policies and local implementation conditions. Furthermore, the lack of systematic monitoring and evaluation becomes a barrier to the sustainable development of innovation. The role of school principals and education managers is vital as agents of change, particularly in strategic leadership, strengthening digital vision, and fostering an innovative culture. The proposed solutions include strengthening training and human resource development, increasing cross-sector collaboration, and implementing data-based management to support decision-making and innovation evaluation. This study concludes that the success of digital educational innovation requires visionary leadership, adaptive management, and synergy between policy, practice, and local context. With a comprehensive and contextual managerial approach, educational innovation can be effectively and sustainably implemented across all regions in Indonesia.
