ANALISIS ISI KATEGORI PEMBERITAAN PEMBUBARAN FPI DI MEDIA ONLINE KOMPAS.COM EDISI DESEMBER 2020

Abstract

Recently the Government has dissolved and banned all activities carried out on behalf of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). The dissolution and termination of the activities of FPI mass organizations is carried out based on a Joint Decree (SKB) signed by the Ministers and Heads of Government Institutions. In reporting on the disbandment of FPI in online media, especially on kompas.com, the news presented consisted of several categories containing legal and political issues that would be conveyed to the public. As one of the online media that is quite in demand by the public, kompas.com can convey news that is pro or contra in presenting news of the disbandment of FPI. The purpose of this study is to find out what news categories were identified in the news on the disbandment of FPI on kompas.com in the December 2020 edition and what news categories were dominant in the news. In this study, the researcher uses Holsti Content Analysis theory and the research method used is quantitative, which uses descriptive content analysis techniques to analyze data by describing the data that has been collected without intending to generalize conclusions. The primary data source of this research is the news text regarding the disbandment of FPI in the online media of kompas.com in the December 2020 edition. The results of this study indicate that kompas.com is more dominant in conveying news from a legal point of view, where kompas.com saw the dissolution of FPI not as a result of conflict between the government and FPI, but rather as a result of legal and administrative problems that have been determined by the government against mass organizations and then submitted so that the public sees the case objectively based on field facts.
