Abstract

This research is motivated by Ratu Dewa's leadership as Acting Mayor of Palembang who was able to carry out his role in overcoming the phenomenon of thuggery that occurred in the tourist area of ​​Palempang City, precisely at Kuto Besak Fort and Ampera Bridge, which disturbed the surrounding community, especially tourists.  Meanwhile, data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. The primary data sources in this research are the secretary of the Palembang City Civil Service Police Unit, and the tourist destination manager. Secondary data comes from books, journals and other written sources. In analyzing research using Role theory according to Mintzberg. The results of the research show that Ratu Dewa as a leader in overcoming acts The results of the study indicate that Ratu Dewa as the Acting Mayor of Palembang carries out his role as the Acting Mayor with an interpersonal role. Ratu Dewa as a leader is able to direct the security team to provide direction to Danru, Kasi, Kabid by providing direction to each personnel for guidance from the center to maintain security. Relationship with information (informational role) Ratu Dewa openly obtains information from complaints from local people and tourists, and directly reviews the location of BKB and Ampera Bridge as one of the areas with thuggery.
